From simple games like angry bids up to complex powerhouses like star-craft 2, strategy games comes in all shapes and forms, but they all show cognitive benefits when played. Playing strategy games have shown significant benefits in the frontal lobe associated with reasoning, planning and problem solving, Occipital lobe, which is associated with visual processing, and Temporal lobe, which is associated with perception, recognition of auditory stimuli, and memory. Studies have shown that strategy games can improve concentration skills, memory, problem solving skills and patience. In a recent study, children who suffered from ADHD were asked to play strategy games, and researchers noticed that they were able to develop focus and concentration. There is strong evidence that video games can help people with learning disorders because strategy games requires a lot of attention and focus, and by playing these games, people with learning disorders can train their brain to focus, and concentrate on the task at hand.
